Before leaping into my brief I thought it would be useful to try and answer the big question “What are the critical skills needed to foster a landmark understanding of interaction design?”

I found this useful post by Anthony Zinni.
My own answer is still in the creation process and Anthony’s ideas are worth noting.

  • Information architecture, usability, and accessibility
  • An understanding of mediums and their limitations
  • Community development and interaction
  • Design theory as applied to web technology
  • Design that effectively encourages user action
